Book 18 | Bossypants by Tina Fey From growing up a vicious nerd with a reoccurring stress dream, to balancing motherhood with being a businesswoman, it’s an enjoyable collection of autobiographical essays from one of my favorite SNL women. I recommend snagging the self-narrated audio version, which is even more entertaining! Book 19 | The Gifts of Imperfection by Brené Brown An inspiring guide for living authentically and freeing yourself from false expectations about how life should look. With honest, heartfelt storytelling, the pages reveal ten guideposts for energizing your perfectly imperfect life, embracing its beauty, and living more whole-heartedly. Book 20 | The Five Love Languages by Gary Chapman Plug into the five love languages if you’re seeking increased connection and harmony in your relationships. Powerfully shift how you communicate by learning to share love in the ways others want to receive it. Based on similar foundations in this original book, The Five Languages for Appreciation for the Workplace is an incredible tool for transforming corporate communication. Book 21 | The 8th Habit by Stephen R. Covey Building on the foundation of the famed 7 Habits, this less known, equally powerful 8th habit is focused on going beyond personal effectiveness to organizational leadership. It reveals principles for how to inspire, empower and build trust with others to both make a difference and fuel a legacy of greatness. Book 22 | Tuesdays with Morrie by Mitch Albom One of my go-to, feel-good reads of all time, as it reminds me of my relationship with my grandfather. This inspirational, heartfelt read is written as the author’s last class with his favorite professor, in the aging man’s last few months battling a terminal illness. Following a series of Tuesday conversations, it’s filled with wisdom, sage advice, and a “curriculum” for living life to the fullest. Book 23 | Code Name Hélène by Arial Lawhon Based on the true story of one of the most elusive spies and decorated servicewomen of World War II, Nancy Wake. Told through interweaving timelines across her four code names used to evade capture, this thrilling tale follows her smuggling people and documents across borders and the exploits that led her to become one of the most powerful leaders in the French Resistance. Her autobiography The White Mouse is also a fascinating read! Book 24 | Inner Engineering: A Yogi's Guide to Joy by Sadhguru Jaggi Vasudev When I learned about this book, the “enginerd” knew I would love reading about how to become the architect of your own joy and thrive by powering both your mind and body at their optimal capacity. This Yogi’s guide shares how to make transformational shifts in harnessing your own inner energy to energize a life you love! Book 25 | Jump: Dare to Do What Scares You in Life and Business by Kim Perell Too often we live in our comfort zones afraid to take risks, yet what if? Book 30 | Tribe of Mentors by Timothy Ferriss Filled with energizing advice, life lessons, and motivating personal stories, this book is a collection of interviews with over 100 eclectic experts. Flipping through the pages, this diverse positive vibe tribe includes mentors like Aisha Taylor, Bear Grylls, Jimmy Fallon, Maria Sharapova, Richa Chada, and Tim McGraw.
